Blum is a family-owned company that operates worldwide, specialising in the manufacture and distribution of furniture fittings. Julius Blum founded the company in Vorarlberg, Austria, on the 1st March 1952 and produced his first product: a horseshoe stud.        

Blum’s main product groups are lift, hinge and pocket systems for furniture, predominantly in kitchens. 

Blum fittings can be combined with mechanical and electrical motion technologies to deliver enhanced user convenience. A wide range of e-services support customers along the entire value-added chain. The name Blum stands for innovation, dedicated employees and international market presence. 

Today, the company has eight plants in Vorarlberg, Austria, production sites in Poland, Brazil, USA und China, and 32 subsidiaries and representative offices around the world. Blum’s customers come from more than 120 markets. The fittings manufacturer employs around 9,300 people all over the world, more than 6,600 of whom are at its Head Office in Vorarlberg.
