EG Industries Berhad was incorporated on 14 August 1991 in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 as a private limited company. The company was converted to a public limited company on 16 October 1992 and listed on the Second Board of the KLSE on 27 September 1993 as an investment holding company. Through its two largest subsidiaries SMT Technologies Sdn Bhd at Malaysia and SMT Industries Co., Ltd at Thailand, the company specializes in the provision of electronic manufacturing services (“EMS”) for world-renowned brand names of electrical and electronic products for several industries including consumer electronics, ICT, medical, automotive and telecommunications. Our expertise extends to cutting-edge technologies such as 5G optical modules, network switches, data centers, and open AI systems, driving us into the future of technology.
