We are Inside Scoop, an artisanal ice creamery dedicated to making the best ice cream out there. Our mission is to take you on a journey to explore the delightful world of ice creams! We make our ice cream fresh on site, using only the finest ingredients - no artificial flavorings, colorings, or preservatives.
Our story begins with Edmund Tan and his wife, Lim Shiew Li, who had a dream to create genuinely fresh ice cream for Malaysians. Despite having no culinary training, they were inspired by their love for ice cream and the desire to create happy memories for everyone. They noticed a gap in the premium ice cream market where it was predominantly served by international chains. So they set out to make great ice cream that is fresh, local, and full of natural flavors and creamy textures.
To understand the science behind ice cream more, Shiew Li enrolled in Gelato University, Italy. This helped them to refine their craft and elevate their ice cream to new heights. Since 2013, all of our ice creams have been made fresh locally using premium ingredients, while fearlessly challenging Malaysian taste buds.
