Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment Co. Sdn Bhd (MKIC) is a joint venture between the Governments of Malaysia and Kuwait, established on September 6, 1980, following the Economic and Technical Co-operation Agreement signed on January 21, 1975. Since its inception, MKIC has been committed to fostering economic growth through strategic investments in key industries.

Initially, MKIC operated across multiple sectors, including property development, plantations, trading, manufacturing, and financial services. However, in the mid-1990s, the company streamlined its focus to the oil palm plantation industry and palm oil milling, aligning with Malaysia’s position as a global leader in palm oil production. This shift allowed MKIC to strengthen its expertise and expand its impact in the agricultural sector.

In line with its long-term growth strategy, MKIC has diversified its portfolio to include broiler chicken farming and commercial coconut planting.
