Philip Morris International (PMI) is the world’s leading international tobacco company, with six of the world's top 15 international brands and products sold in more than 180 markets. In addition to the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, including the number one global cigarette brand, and other tobacco products, PMI is engaged in the development and commercialization of Reduced-Risk Products (“RRPs”). RRPs is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continued smoking. We have a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. Because our RRPs do not burn tobacco, they produce far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful compounds than found in cigarette smoke.

PMI affiliates in Malaysia have more than 500 employees attached with its 2 subsidiaries; Philip Morris (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd (PMM) and Godfrey Phillips (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd (GPM). Headquartered in Menara Millenium, located in the trendy neighbourhood of Pusat Bandar Damansara, PMI first entered the Malaysian market in 1968 through the establishment of Godfrey Phillips (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (GPM) for the sales and distribution of Marlboro. Since 1998, GPM has been solely responsible for all PMI's domestic sales in Malaysia. Today, we have regional sales offices in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Johor and Kuching supporting more than 3 global brands and 1 regional brand including Marlboro, L&M, Sampoerna and Chesterfield. PMM also operates a Cast Leaf plant in Seremban, which uses tobacco dust and stems to manufacture reconstituted tobacco. It is one of the blend components in Primary Processing for the PMI manufacturing centres around the world. This 100% export facility is the largest of its kind for the business with products are exported to PMI businesses around the globe.
