Our Story

Schlumberger was founded by two pioneering brothers, Conrad and Marcel Schlumberger, and that passion for discovery has kept us at the forefront of the energy industry for the last 90 years. As the leading provider of technology and services to the energy industry, we specialize in reservoir characterization, drilling, production, and processing and offer the most comprehensive range of products and services in the industry in over 85 countries. 
 
In 2011, Schlumberger established a Global Business Services hub in Kuala Lumpur. The KL Hubs provide support in HR, IT, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal to the countries it operates. Over the years, we have continuously improved in providing internal support services at superior levels of quality and efficiency and enhance our competitive advantage by leveraging our size, capabilities and expert talents.

The establishment of the Financial Hub continues with the mission to continuously exceed our customers’ expectations by delivering first-rate and proactive support. It supports corporate transformation by streamlining processes through in-depth understanding, centralizing, standardizing and optimizing.

The KL IT Hub acts as an IT support competency center to Schlumberger’s IT users globally, responsible for computer hardware, software, networking, Cyber Security and peripherals assistance. Schlumberger assures that maintenance and solutions in computer network systems are in alignment to the ITIL standards.

Schlumberger HR Hub was established as part of our Global Business Services as a strategy to further enhance the quality of the HR support to the countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe. It continuously exceeds our customers’ expectations by delivering reliable and efficient employee support services. 

Our Supply Chain Hub ensures the effective implementation on the replenishment and netting process resulting in an efficient and value-added execution while managing international movements of assets, products, and materials.  Our procurement service supports corporate transformation by putting in place industrial and efficient processes to improve delivery of orders which is aimed at delivering the highest quality products and services to customers for optimum performance in the energy industry.
