Teo Guan Lee Corporation Bhd (TGL) began as a small enterprise dealing in general merchandise in 1934. Over the years, it has diversified into a group dealing in distribution of branded and licensed baby and children wear and adult wear in major departmental stores throughout East and West Malaysia. The Group has also invested in some properties comprising shopping mall lots, industrial lots, shophouses and apartments for rental income. TGL was listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in October 1994. TGL operates from 2 offices with its headquarters situated in an industrial plot in Prai, Penang and another office and warehouse in Taman Shamelin, Cheras Kuala Lumpur. TGL employs over 600 employees in both offices and has over 500 consignment counters in departmental stores throughout East and West Malaysia.
