Role: FP&A / Commercial Finance Analyst (AI-Native)
Location: Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid) | Type: Full-time | Level: Junior–Mid (2–5 years preferred)

We’re hiring a hands-on finance analyst to own forecasting, runway tracking, and investor-ready reporting. Statutory accounting/tax/bookkeeping are handled by external accountants—this role focuses on planning, analysis, and decision support.

What you will do

Forecasting & Runway

• Maintain a driver-based rolling forecast (base / downside / upside)
• Own burn + runway tracking; update assumptions as reality changes
• Build a simple pipeline → revenue → cash bridge (timing + collections)
   

Investor & Management Reporting

• Produce monthly numbers for investor/management updates (revenue, gross margin, burn, runway, key KPIs)
• Draft clear, defensible answers to common investor finance questions
• Maintain consistent KPI definitions and a single source of truth

Unit Economics & Commercial Support

• Track customer/deal-level economics (revenue, direct costs, gross margin)
• Maintain a pricing/discount tracker; flag margin leakage early
• Build simple ROI cases to support commercial conversations
   

AI-Enabled Productivity (Practical)

• Use AI tools to speed up analysis/reporting/drafting (variance narratives, KPI commentary)
• Validate outputs with sanity checks and documented assumptions
• Create reusable templates/prompts for recurring workflows

Job Requirements

Must-have

• 2–5 years in FP&A / investment analyst / consulting / corporate finance / finance ops
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills (structured, driver-based, auditable)
• Clear written + verbal communication (comfortable drafting investor-ready narratives)
• High ownership and cadence discipline (delivers on time without heavy supervision)
   

AI-native (non-negotiable)

• Uses modern AI tools regularly for real work (analysis, writing, synthesis)
• Knows how to validate outputs (reconciliation, sanity checks, documented assumptions)
