As a Junior Barista you will help build our daily coffee experience, craft consistent drinks, and refine service routines that make our mornings smoother and our regulars happier.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare espresso-based drinks and brewed coffee to consistent recipes while keeping service efficient during peak periods.
• Steam and texture milk to customer preferences and practise simple latte art to enhance drink presentation.

Guest Experience

• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and operate the POS with clear communication.
• Manage customer requests and feedback calmly, escalating issues to senior staff when needed.

Operations & Shop Care

• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, equipment, and storage, following food safety and hygiene practices.
• Assist with stock checks, basic inventory tracking, opening and closing routines, and accurate cash handling.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or F&B role, ideally with barista duties or front of house service.
• Availability for flexible shifts including mornings and weekends as required by the cafe schedule.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Hands-on experience operating espresso machines and grinders, and basic latte art skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, basic inventory procedures, and food safety and hygiene practices.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Strong customer service attitude, clear communication, and a friendly presence in a small team environment.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
