Job Description

Datamart Development: Design, develop, and maintain datamarts within the Portia platform to facilitate global market reporting and risk analysis.

Risk Management: Collaborate with risk management teams to understand reporting requirements and develop solutions for analyzing and monitoring market risk metrics.

Data Integration: Integrate market data from various sources into the datamarts, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

SQL Server Management: Utilize SQL Server 2012 for managing and querying large datasets related to global market data and risk analytics.

Java Development: Develop custom components and modules using Java to enhance the functionality and performance of the Portia platform.

Control M: Configure and schedule jobs using Control M for automating data processing and reporting tasks.

Documentation: Document technical specifications, data models, and code changes to ensure clarity and maintainability of the datamart solutions.


Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 6-9 years of experience in Murex development, particularly in the area of global market data reporting and risk analysis.

  • Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in the Portia platform is essential, including a strong understanding of its data structures and reporting capabilities.

  • Database Skills: Extensive experience with SQL Server 2012, including database management, optimization, and querying.

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java is required for developing custom components within the Portia platform. Knowledge of Control M is also desirable.

  • Operating Systems: Experience working with Windows 2012, AIX, Solaris, and open systems is preferred.

  • Asset Class Knowledge: Strong understanding of various asset classes and market data, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and commodities.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and preferably within a banking environment
