Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our Compliance team, focusing on the AML-FMF sub-domain. The role involves managing and enhancing customized application interfaces for Fircosoft, a Message Transaction Screening Software. Fircosoft primarily handles SWIFT messages and functions as a black box in transaction filtering. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Unix/Linux environments, possess strong scripting skills, and be comfortable with Java for defect fixing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Fircosoft Interfaces: Work with Fircosoft, a black-box system for message screening (primarily for SWIFT transactions).
Fix Defects: Utilize Java to resolve application issues and defects within the Fircosoft environment.
Unix/Linux Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts to support automation and system processes within a RedHat Linux environment.
Database Management: Write and optimize basic SQL queries to interact with Oracle databases.
Application Customization: Customize application interfaces to meet business requirements and enhance system performance.
Must-Have Skills:
Unix/Linux Scripting: Ability to write, debug, and maintain scripts in Unix/Linux environments.
Linux (RedHat) Knowledge: Proficient in working with RedHat Linux, with hands-on experience in managing Linux servers.
Java: Strong understanding of Java, required for fixing defects in customized applications.
SQL (Basic): Competent in writing and understanding basic SQL queries for database interaction.
Good-to-Have Skills:
IBM MQ Knowledge: Understanding of IBM MQ for messaging middleware solutions.
SWIFT and Payment Transaction Knowledge: Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and the payment processing domain.
Banking Experience: Previous experience working in the banking or financial services industry.
