Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team, with a focus on automating and streamlining operations and development processes. This is a trainable role, where a senior engineer will provide knowledge transfer (KT), and you will be responsible for maintaining, deploying, and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline and related automation processes for Java and .NET applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines for efficient CI/CD processes.
Automate and streamline deployments for both Java and .NET applications using tools like Ant, Maven, and MSBuild.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of code in Bitbucket/Git and automate testing and deployment.
Write and maintain scripting code in Groovy, Shell script, PowerShell, and batch for automation tasks.
Manage and configure DevOps tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, Artifactory, Sonarqube, and Jira.
Monitor and report on CI/CD pipeline performance, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Assist in stakeholder management, ensuring clear communication and reporting of progress, issues, and tasks.
Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and deployments.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in Groovy for scripting and pipeline development.
Experience with Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
Knowledge of Shell scripting and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
Understanding of deployment pipelines for Java (e.g., Ant, Maven) or .NET (e.g., MSBuild).
Ability to document processes, handle reporting, and monitor tasks.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
Good-to-Have Skills: Experience with Artifactory, Sonarqube, and Jira.
Familiarity with both Java and .NET application builds (having one is essential, but both is a bonus).
Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
