We are seeking a Digital Commerce & Marketing Manager (SEA) to serve as the regional subject matter expert and primary point of contact for marketplace commerce and performance marketing across Southeast Asia.
This role will oversee and optimize end-to-end marketplace processes, introduce and enhance operational frameworks, and deliver training to uplift capabilities across teams. Close collaboration with regional and client stakeholders is essential to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable marketplace growth across SEA markets.
The ideal candidate brings strong digital marketing expertise and is able to translate marketing strategies into marketplace performance, while also integrating technology and systems into commerce operations to drive scalability, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
1. Regional Marketplace Commerce Management
Act as SEA regional lead for marketplace performance across platforms (e.g., Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop and other regional marketplaces)
Oversee day-to-day marketplace operations including assortment, pricing, seller/brand management, and campaign execution
Drive revenue accountability and commercial performance across SEA markets
Monitor marketplace health through KPI dashboards (traffic, conversion, AOV, sell-through, ROAS, contribution margin)
2. Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
Translate digital marketing strategies into marketplace sales performance
Plan and optimize full-funnel commerce marketing: onsite media, performance ads, affiliate, CRM and promotional mechanics
Partner with media teams to align paid media investment with marketplace conversion strategy
Develop regional campaign playbooks for mega campaigns (e.g., 9.9, 11.11, 12.12)
Identify and activate growth levers across traffic, conversion, and retention
3. Data-Led Strategy & Growth Planning
Develop SEA marketplace growth strategies supported by analytics and insights
Integrate marketing and commerce datasets to drive optimization decisions
Build forecasting models and performance benchmarks across markets
Evaluate category trends, competitive positioning, and shopper behaviour
4. Operational Excellence & Automation
Establish standardized operating frameworks across SEA markets
Introduce automation, marketing tech, and workflow improvements to improve efficiency and scalability
Optimize end-to-end operational processes including campaign execution and reporting cadence
Implement performance dashboards and governance routines
5. Stakeholder & Client Partnership
Serve as trusted advisor to regional and client stakeholders
Lead performance reviews and strategic discussions independently
Align cross-functional teams (marketing, media, operations, supply chain)
Manage expectations and ensure delivery of commercial outcomes
6. Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with client stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
Streamline processes and improve efficiencies in collaboration with client teams.
Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and issues related to marketplace operations.
7. Marketplace Ecosystem and Tools:
Stay updated on the latest marketplace trends, tools, and technologies.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance marketplace operations.
Build and maintain relationships with key marketplace partners and vendors.
