Job DescriptionWe live in an increasingly volatile and complex world. Risks and threats are emerging at an accelerated pace and are increasingly interconnected. These include climate change, geopolitical instability, financial market volatility, supply chain disruption, technology advancement, and data privacy and protection regulations, to name a few. Acting with urgency and integrity require organizations to both transform their ability to anticipate, address, recover from risks. Risk management and compliance as a discipline and topic agenda is gaining the attention of the c-suite, boardroom, and regulators alike. Digital Risk & Compliance (DRC) professionals help clients with address these requirements, partnering with clients across various levels of organizations. We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Data Privacy Officer to oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of data privacy within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with global data protection regulations, maintain and update policies and procedures, and provide training to employees on data privacy best practices.Key Responsibilities: 1. Policy and Procedure Management: • Review, update, and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). • Ensure alignment with current regulations and best practices. 2. Training and Awareness: • Develop and provide data privacy training for employees. • Update training materials to reflect regulatory changes and organizational needs. 3. Compliance Oversight: • Implement controls for Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests. • Manage and advise on data privacy-related complaints and requests. 4. Documentation and Governance: • Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and other documentation required by regulations. • Develop and maintain a repository of relevant laws and regulations. 5. Regulatory Monitoring and Guidance: • Conduct assessments and gap analyses on consent management practices. • Monitor and analyze data privacy regulations and laws, providing guidance on compliance actions.
