Job Title: Developer (RPG – Deposits)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Core Banking Developer with hands-on experience in RPG development on AS400 systems. The role focuses on the Deposits module, including local and bill payment functionalities, and involves supporting development, enhancement, and maintenance of core banking applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of banking operations and be capable of contributing to code quality and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance core banking applications on AS400 using RPG.
Work on Deposits-related modules, including cash management, rate provision, GIRO, and instant payment systems.
Implement and support Local and Bill Payment functionalities.
Perform code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts and QA for requirement analysis and solution delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Participate in system testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in RPG programming on AS400 platform.
- Hands-on experience with DB2 database.
- Solid knowledge of Deposits module in core banking.
- Experience in Local and Bill Payment systems.
- Knowledge of Cash Management and Rate Provision OR GIRO & Instant Payment systems.
- Experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring coding standards.
- Good understanding of AS400 operating system.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Remittance systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Experience with ALDON (AS400 deployment automation tool).
- Knowledge of ARCAD tools for change management and DevOps on IBM i.
