Job Description SN608 WO#3 Digital Banking Job Title: Senior Android Developer Domain: Digital Banking Sub-Domain: Retail Banking Experience Level: Senior (L3 – 6 to 9 years) Location: Kuala Lumpur Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our Retail Digital Banking team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android mobile applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and security. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless mobile banking experiences aligned with modern DevOps and Agile practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy Android mobile applications for retail banking products and services. Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences. Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through effective code optimization and testing. Implement CI/CD pipelines for mobile build, deployment, and version management. Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards and best practices. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across different environments. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in development and deployment practices. Key Requirements Experience: 6–9 years in Android application development. Technical Expertise: o Mandatory: Android Kotlin, Android Java o Good-to-have: Gradle, Maven, Firebase, Fastlane Platform / Product: Digital Banking Server/Database: Oracle Operating Systems: HPUX, Linux, Solaris Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX standards and performance optimization. Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs and backend systems. Familiar with version control tools (e.g., Git). Good-to-Have Skills Experience with CI/CD for mobile build deployment. Exposure to DevOps tools and practices. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of mobile application security and compliance requirements within banking domains.
