Job Title: Remittance Developer

Job Summary:
As a Junior Developer in the Remittance domain, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing payment and remittance applications on the AS400 platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet business requirements, particularly in the areas of SWIFT payments, local payment systems, and real-time payment integrations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop and Maintain Applications:
Build and update payment processing systems using RPG and COBOL on AS400.


2. Support Payment Operations:
Work on SWIFT payments (Telegraphic Transfers, Demand Draft, Cashier's Order) and local payment methods (RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow).


3. Integrate and Communicate Systems:
Use tools like SFTP, MQ, and Direct Connect for secure file and data transfers.


4. Deploy and Troubleshoot:
Manage application deployments with Aldon and resolve system issues promptly.


5. Ensure Compliance:
Follow SWIFT and local regulatory standards in payment processing.


Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:
 

Programming Languages:
o Proficiency in RPG and COBOL development on AS400.


Payments Domain Knowledge:
o Experience with SWIFT payment methods (Telegraphic Transfers, Demand Draft, Cashier's Order).
o Familiarity with local payment systems such as RTGS, GIRO, FAST, and PayNow.


Tools & Technologies:
o Hands-on experience with Aldon for software deployment.
o Knowledge of SFTP, MQ, and Direct Connect for secure communications.


Database & OS:
o Strong experience with DB2 database management on AS400.
o Understanding of AS400 operating system architecture and operations.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to DevOps practices for AS400 environments.

  • Familiarity with financial services regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication for cross-team collaboration.

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
