Service Group Business Operations Lead

The SEA Service Business Operations Lead supports the Service Lead to deliver business outcomes and enabling the Leadership to spend time focused on market facing activities.  The Service Bus Ops Lead acts as the interlock between business leaders, HR, Finance, and other Corporate Functions, engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders across the Client Group.  The role will monitor, report progress and act upon the results, and may have responsibilities for financial and operational management.  In collaboration with Service Leadership team, the Service Bus Ops Lead determines the objectives and approaches to critical assignments and manages large complex teams and/or work efforts, ensuring high levels of quality, cooperatively enabling the results.

The Service Business Operations Lead will also work as a trusted business advisor, bringing together Accenture's assets, tools, and best practices to shape solutions, and to solve the most critical business needs.  Bring together the right Accenture team to drive operational efficiency, business controls, execution, and compliance.

Job description:
As a Service Business Operations Lead, you're expected to work collaboratively with Service Lead, Service Delivery lead, Service DOO, MU DOO, and MU Bus Ops Lead to drive the execution of business growth agenda and plan by creating, implementing, and managing a program office function.  Engage key stakeholders and participate with them on monitoring and reporting progress.  Liaise across different leads within the client groups to ensure alignment on the business operation goals and approach.  The role may have responsibilities for the financial, operational and program management and talent strategy of a specific business unit.  The Service Bus Ops Lead will work in close collaboration with MU Bus Ops Lead to drive MU and Service business priorities to achieve operations excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the regular business cadence including agenda planning, materials preparation, facilitation during meeting eg State of the Business calls.

  • Support Service Lead and Service Delivery Leadership in executing the MU growth agenda, driving operational excellence, and supporting their P&L management accountabilities. 

  • Programs manage and facilitate the account / portfolio review process, and initiatives that MU embark on to drive business growth or performance.

  • Provide analysis of business performance to the MU leadership team.

  • Act as primary contact for all MU related matters and as escalation point for local finance management related to that business, with a specific focus in supporting MU Business Operations Lead’s operations reporting and management needs.

  • Drive local MU implementation of Global Operations processes / initiatives, support other Service and MU initiatives as they arise and manage business operations risk and issues across the business.

  • Work collaboratively as a team across business operations professional in SEA MU.  Work with MU Business Operations Lead to ensure that business operations and related work teams are coordinated and have clear strategies and approaches in place to support the MU initiatives. Provide back up support to MU Business Operations team members during leave times as required.

  • Act a business integrator, collaborate closely with different business functions such as HR, Finance, Sales Excellence, Marketing, Legal and CDP teams to facilitate smooth business operations to achieve business priorities, campaigns and initiatives planned. Ensure that the market unit teams collaborate with the function to meet the needs of strategic initiatives.

  • Have strong communication and leadership skills and able to liaise with Accenture’s senior leadership and proactive in anticipating the business needs of the business leader and taking actions to support the need.

  • Define and manage communications for the program/project/operations including team calls, agenda and materials to keep relevant stakeholders informed and engaged.

  • May be responsible for key policy controls, process metrics and integration with other functional teams.

  • Develop and improve standardized operation processes, drive, and implement continuous improvement and optimization program for operational processes, managing critical program dependencies.

  • Lead/support continuous improvement efforts for processes, tools, metrics, and trainings based on ongoing experience, process metrics and feedback from stakeholders.

  • May support standard management reporting processes and metrics by creating templates, job aids and other materials as required.


Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in leading business operations or strategic programs in Services or Client Group or large account portfolio preferred.

  • Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication, organization time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders.

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Demonstrated confidence and assertiveness in working with Senior Leadership.

  • Deep understanding of Accenture’s business processes and policies, operation excellence and compliance.

  • Attention to detail.

Educational Level

Bachelor´s Degree (±16 years)

Educational Qualification

Must have Degree qualified.

Skills & Work Experience

  • Experience in leading business operations in a service group or client group or large client account portfolio preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organization time management and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects / initiatives.

  • Proven team management skills

  • Demonstrated confidence and assertiveness in working with Senior Leadership

  • Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
