Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior API & Microservices Developer to design, develop, and enhance API-driven and microservices-based solutions within WAM and OPI platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance services using Java Spring Boot and API management technologies. Candidates may be aligned to either API Gateway (WAM) or Java Microservices (OPI) streams depending on expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot
- Develop and support API management solutions using Axway API Manager, API Gateway, or equivalent platforms (Apigee, Kong, Layer 7)
- Build scalable backend services for enterprise banking applications (WAM/OPI)
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Ensure API security, performance, and reliability across environments
- Work on integration with Oracle 12c/19c databases and/or Cassandra DB
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical solutioning
- Support deployment activities in Unix/Linux environments
- Follow SDLC, coding standards, and DevOps best practices
