Job Description

• To inspect in-coming goods according to the instruction stated.
• To inspect work in progress (W.I.P) by patrolling and checking the production of every machine in the designated area at least once every hour and recording this inspection on the QC hourly inspection report.
• To inspect and weigh the finished goods and record such inspection by signing the inspection slip and placing this slip in the carton before taping and sealing the carton closed.
• To inspect the label description of goods packed in each carton.
• To test products according to the methods documented.
• To ensure the quality of each product strictly follows the guidelines given.
• To be alert while inspecting products visually and when using measuring equipment.
• To accept any other QC related jobs as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Carry out the duties expected of a QC inspector by following the guidelines and instructions of the QC Systems and Maintenance Manager and written procedures.
• Ensure all certificates are up to date when using any measuring equipment and report any equipment that is out of specification.
• Return any equipment to the QC lockup before leaving at the end of the work period.
• Ensure all QC documentation is kept up to date and completed sheets are signed and given to the QC Systems and Maintenance Manager at the end of the work period.
• Assist production when necessary.
• Wear all clothing and footwear as provided whilst on work duty.
• Be aware of safety and health, this is as important as quality control, both of which are linked to the success of the company.
