JOB PURPOSE

The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and support of IT systems, hardware, and network infrastructure across both construction sites and office environments. The role provides timely technical assistance, manages IT assets, enforces security measures, and supports the deployment of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This position is critical in maintaining system reliability, data integrity, and effective communication to support overall project delivery and organizational performance.

• Deliver first and second-level IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues, ensuring timely resolution of service requests. 
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure such as LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and VPN, ensuring stable, secure, and reliable connectivity across offices and construction sites. 
• Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including end-user devices, servers, software applications, and cloud platforms, while ensuring system performance and security. 
• Oversee IT asset and inventory management, including tracking, audits, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all IT equipment and software licenses. 
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers, and support IT setup, relocation, and readiness for new construction sites and project operations. 
• Prepare IT reports, maintain documentation, provide user training, and promote IT security awareness and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including IT governance, security standards, and anti-bribery and corruption requirements.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, network management, or systems administration, preferably in office and field/site environments. 
• Technical Skills: 
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. 
• Experience with LAN/Wi-Fi setup, routers, switches, VPN, and remote access. 
• Knowledge of Windows OS, business software, and basic server/cloud management. 
• Familiarity with IT asset management, software licensing, and preventive maintenance. 
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, teamwork, and ability to provide user support under pressure. 
• Other Requirements: 
• Willingness to travel to construction sites. 
• Understanding of IT security practices and compliance requirements. 
• Knowledge of anti-bribery and company IT policies is an advantage.
