The Store Keeper is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and management of construction materials, tools, and equipment at the project site. This role ensures that all materials are properly documented, stored in appropriate conditions, and readily available to support ongoing construction activities. The Store Keeper plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing losses, and ensuring compliance with site safety and organizational procedures. Additionally, the Store Keeper coordinates closely with procurement teams, site engineers, and supervisors to track material usage, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely replenishment of essential items. By maintaining an organized and well-monitored storage system, the Store Keeper contributes to smooth site operations, cost control, and the overall efficiency and productivity of construction projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.0 Material Receiving & Inspection
1.1 Receive materials, tools, equipment, and supplies at the store.
1.2 Inspect incoming items for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
1.3 Verify delivery documents, invoices, and purchase orders against received items.
1.4 Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management and procurement teams.
1.5 Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and approval of critical materials.
1.6 Ensure proper unloading of materials to prevent damage or loss.
1.7 Check for correct labeling, batch numbers, and expiry dates where applicable.
1.8 Record received items promptly in the inventory management system.

a) High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field is preferred.
b) Minimum 3–5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or materials handling, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
c) Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software is an advantage.
d) Knowledge of handling construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
e) Understanding of inventory management principles, stock control methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO), and documentation procedures.
f) Familiarity with safety standards, HSE regulations, and compliance requirements related to storage and material handling.
g) Basic knowledge of procurement processes, delivery schedules, and material requisition systems.
