Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and professional Secretary to support our Corporate & Commercial department under the direction of our lawyer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the lawyer, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organising appointments.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence related to corporate & commercial, banking and finance transactions matters.
  • Maintain filing systems (physical and digital) for client files, legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication with clients.
  • Assist in preparing corporate & commercial, banking and finance documents for loan transactions.
  • Handle confidential information and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Monitor and track important dates and deadlines for ongoing banking and finance files.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones and processing mail.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience as a secretary.
  • Experience in banking and finance documentation is a plus.
  • Experience with Core Matter legal practice management software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
