Job Description

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

CSR and Malaysian AEON Foundation

  • To assist in the development of the Company’s overall corporate social responsibilities strategies and programs/activities implementations across the Company’s operations.
  • To lead the execution of employee outreach activities based on Company CSR Pillar and Sustainability Framework which includes volunteers’ management, internal coordination and reporting.
  • To monitor and ensure the Business Unit Level Community Outreach activities conducted as per established practices and required data from the activities are well documented for reporting purposes.
  • To drive the execution of Malaysian AEON Foundation activities which includes fund-raising activities, disaster relief, donation activities and other activities planned by the Foundation.
  • To identify and collaborate with relevant business units in creating positive Company branding through CSR collaborations with external stakeholders.
  • To actively work with Corporate Communications to update the Company’s Social Media platforms and Corporate Website with CSR and Sustainability initiatives updates and produce pocket videos for digital display on timely basis.

Government Relations

  • To engage and establish good working relationship with relevant stakeholders such as Government Ministries and Agencies both Federal and State Level.
  • To manage any incoming queries, complaints or request for information from Government Agencies.
  • To provide operational support to all compliance matters related to existing act and guidelines for projects/programmes planned by Business Units.
  • To coordinate and execute various community programmes via Government strategic partnership based on Company business. 
  • To review and compile incoming sponsorship and donation request from Charitable Organisations, Associations, Community Bodies, Universities and Schools for Chief Risk Officer review.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration or relevant field. 
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in planning and executing Corporate Social Responsibility and/or related field.
  • Experience and passionate in the field of CSR, Sustainability and best practices.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiar with ESG Ratings such as FTSE4Good, Sustainalytics, MSCI etc.
  • Able to work on weekends and travel when needed.
