Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR & Administration Manager to lead the full spectrum of Human Resources and Administration functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, HR operations and organisational development, while providing practical HR recommendations and solutions to Management.

The role requires a hands-on and independent HR professional who can manage day-to-day HR operations, lead HR initiatives and work closely with Management and department heads to support business growth.

Fluent in Mandarin, both spoken and written, as the role requires regular communication and coordination with Senior Management based in China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full spectrum of HR and Administration functions.
  • Develop and implement workforce planning and manpower strategies aligned with business requirements.
  • Lead recruitment activities, manpower planning and employee retention initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, domestic inquiries, grievances and performance management.
  • Oversee employee appraisal, salary review and related HR processes.
  • Provide practical HR advice, solutions and recommendations to Management.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with the Employment Act, Industrial Relations requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Supervise, guide and develop HR & Administration team members.
  • Work closely with department heads to address manpower and employee-related matters.
  • Liaise with external authorities and relevant stakeholders when required.
  • Identify HR issues and recommend appropriate actions and implementation plans.
  • Take ownership of HR operations and continuously improve HR processes and practices.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, industrial or precast environments.
  • Age: Below 45 years old
  • Proven experience managing a workforce of 100 employees or more.
  • Strong knowledge of the Employment Act, Industrial Relations and HR best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in disciplinary matters, domestic inquiries, employee grievances and performance management.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and manpower planning.
  • Experience managing employee appraisal, salary review and retention programmes.
  • Experience supervising and developing HR & Administration team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with Management, department heads and employees.
  • Comfortable liaising with external authorities and business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Fluent Mandarin proficiency is required, as the role involves regular communication and coordination with Senior Management based in China.
