Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company based in Simpang Renggam, Johor.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will oversee accounting operations, cash flow and treasury management, budgeting and forecasting, AP/AR, collections, financial reporting, cost control, audit, taxation, statutory compliance and team supervision.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or project-based industries, with the ability to work independently, take ownership and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
  • Prepare budgets, financial plans, forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, payroll and general ledger activities.
  • Monitor cash flow, payment planning and utilisation of financial resources.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, cash flow reports and cost analysis.
  • Monitor operational costs, including raw materials, labour and overhead expenses.
  • Review procurement expenditure and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate audit preparation and liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and effective internal financial controls.
  • Investigate financial discrepancies and resolve payment or accounting issues.
  • Identify financial risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, QS, HR and other departments on financial and cost-control matters.
  • Provide financial analysis and information to support management decision-making.
  • Supervise, guide and develop accounting and finance team members.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Improve accounting systems, processes and financial controls.
  • Support finance and accounting matters relating to Malaysia and Singapore operations, where required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO/CEO or Head of Finance.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Finance & Accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, engineering or project-based industries.
  • Strong hands-on experience in accounting operations, cash flow management and financial controls.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, collections and payment planning.
  • Experience handling full-set accounts, financial reporting, audit, taxation and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, financial management and accounting processes.
  • Leadership and team supervisory experience will be an advantage.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems will be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting Malaysia and Singapore operations will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take full ownership of accounting operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mandarin-speaking candidates will have an advantage.
  • Willing to work in person at Simpang Renggam, Johor.
