Japan retail store
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
Support the overall monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
• Reporting to the Japanese Parent Company:
Support preparation and submission of consolidated financial reporting packages under J-GAAP or IFRS
• Tax Compliance:
Support preparation and filing of corporate tax, SST, and handling of tax audits in Malaysia
• Audit Support:
Assist in statutory audit processes
• Management Accounting Support
• Budgeting & Performance Management:
Lead company-wide budgeting, performance tracking, and variance analysis
• KPI Management:
Support setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Cash Flow Management:
Support cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
• Banking Relations:
Support communication and relationship management with Malaysian financial institutions
• International Finance & Compliance Support
• Credit Management:
Support credit evaluation and accounts receivable management for overseas customers
• Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain and strengthen compliance with Malaysian company law and related regulations
• Process Improvement:
Review and improve business processes for efficiency and effectiveness 

Job Requirements

  At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience in Malaysia
• Experience implementing or using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365 F&SCM, etc.)
• Experience leading or being the main person responsible for closing financial statements in accordance with MFRS leading a small team of 2 or above
• Knowledge and practical experience in cost accounting (experience in retail/wholesale/ logistics is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/MPERS and Malaysian taxation
