Job roles
The AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Engineer plays a key role in ensuring product quality and consistency within Maruwa’s SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines. Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) engineers use specialized cameras, lighting, and image processing algorithms to develop and implement automated systems for detecting defects in manufactured products, particularly printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring quality and consistency.
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing automated inspection systems used to detect defects on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components. The AOI Engineer works closely with production and quality teams to enhance inspection accuracy, improve manufacturing efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
<Requirements>
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, or related Engineering field.
• Min. 2 years of experience in AOI system operation, programming, or development within an SMT or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with AOI systems such as Omron, Koh Young, or equivalent is preferred.
•Strong understanding of SMT processes, soldering techniques, and PCB quality control.
