Job Description

Role Objective:

This role provides functional leadership & operational support to the accounts team, including managing documentation, coordinating schedules & ensuring effective departmental communication. The Accountant plays a key role in overseeing daily accounting functions, maintaining accuracy in financial records & supporting timely reporting and financial outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial & Document Management
    - Prepare, format & proofread invoices, statements & financial reports
    - Maintain organised physical & electronic financial records
    - Ensure timely filing & compliance with internal & regulatory requirements
  2. Administrative Support
    - Schedule & coordinate meetings, reviews & departmental activities
    - Manage correspondence including emails, letters & phone enquiries
    - Assist in preparing financial slides, presentations & reports
  3. Information & Data Support
    - Conduct basic financial research when required
    - Compile data & supporting documents for reporting & review purposes
  4. Billing & Expense Support
    - Assist with issuance of billing statements & tracking billable hours
    - Process expense claims & assist with basic budget monitoring
  5. Compliance & Confidentiality
    - Ensure work practices meet audit, legal & ethical requirements
    - Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in full spectrum accounting or finance roles
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy in documentation
  • Good organisational & multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Word
  • Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. SQL, Autocount, Xero or similar), experienced in reconciliations & month end closing
