About the Role

The Business Analyst supports Agency Distribution Technology systems, including Policy Administration and Compensation platforms. Key responsibilities include requirement gathering, user story documentation, UAT planning, and testing support for new products and enhancements. The role ensures timely, high-quality delivery in an Agile environment, manages stakeholder communication, and provides leadership to scale team capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Analyst for Agency Distribution Technology systems/applications - Policy Admin Systems, Compensation Management and Performance Reporting.
  • This person will facilitate working in Agile environment, User Story documentation, UAT strategy and planning and implementation of complex requirements ensuring all projects are delivered on time with expected quality.
  • Demonstrated ability and expertise in Gathering, Analyzing, Documenting business requirements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of Core Systems including Policy Admin Systems such as Life Asia (AS400), Polisy Asia and Compensation System testing.
  • Main support in New Products/Campaign and enhancement requirement preparation and testing.
  • Perform testing and handle post deployment verification by ensuring AIA governance and procedures is followed.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage within deadlines.
  • Ability to work in flexible hours during critical project delivery times. Good interpersonal skills, committed, result oriented and hard working.
  • Effectively manage team members and provide continued guidance to scale up team capabilities.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree of management, business, or related areas. 

Experience:

  • Life insurance domain: Candidate must have worked in Life insurance industry with in-depth understanding of insurance distribution and compensation processes.
  • Hands-on approach: Candidate must have a hand-on working mindset with managing and working with small group of team members. Candidate must have problem solving and troubleshooting attitude to look for solutions within the available means and resources.
  • Life insurance systems: Candidate must have worked and have hands-on experience for implementing, supporting and managing key insurance critical applications such as Policy Admin Systems (AS400), compensation and reporting system.
  • Production support: Candidate must have sufficient experience and exposure for managing and driving efficient production support / BAU processes.
  • People Management: Effectively manage team members and provide continued guidance to scale up team capabilities.

 

Certifications/licenses: 

  •  LOMA [good to have]
  • Any system / application related certifications

 

Special skills: 

  • Worked closely with IT with good understanding of SDLC process.
  • Expertise in MS Excel [must have], Basic SQL and Presentation skills.
  • Understanding and experience in life insurance product setup, compensation scheme setup.
