About the Role

• Providing BAU support for Group Application Data Platform
• Support, maintain and monitor data pipeline under Group Application Data Platform against SLAs as agreed with various business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and monitor data pipelines to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data staging, orchestration, refresh, and transformation.
  • Check and investigate Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks pipeline/job status and address common failure causes.
  • Perform minor pipeline adjustments, enhancements, and configuration updates when required.
  • Support Power BI, including dataset refresh troubleshooting and resolving data model/connection issues.
  • Monitor overall pipeline performance and ensure adherence to SLAs and operational timelines.
  • Resolve operational issues reported by users and ensure timely recovery.
  • Provide support during critical reporting cycles, including occasional standby when necessary.


Support / Standardize

  • Follow established guidelines, standards, and best operational practices.
  • Own issues end‑to‑end to ensure resolution and prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management, business users, and technical teams.
  • Work independently with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or other relevant disciplines.

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ IT work experience in a relevant role e.g. Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Architect and/or Data Engineer.
  • Tertiary qualification in ANY of the following:
    Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Maths/Statistical

Technical skills:

  • Mandatory experience with Azure Cloud services (ADLS, ADF, Databricks).
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Hands‑on Power BI experience (2–3 years) including data modelling, DAX, dataset refresh troubleshooting, and RLS.
  • Good understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing fundamentals.
  • Practical experience with Python for basic troubleshooting in Databricks notebooks.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform components (PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse) for operational support.
  • Basic cloud certification (e.g., Azure) is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Customer‑focused, with solid stakeholder engagement and service‑oriented mindset.
  • Able to analyze issues, solve problems effectively, and perform well under pressure.
