About the Role

A UEM Automation engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to streamline and improve end-user workflows and processes.

This role focuses on creating automated systems and scripts that reduce manual effort, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall user experience. The engineer collaborates with various teams, analyzes user needs, and develops solutions using a variety of tools and technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Designing and Implementing Automation Solutions:

·       Developing and implementing automation scripts and workflows to streamline end-user processes and tasks, such as report generation, or system configuration.

Developing and Maintaining Automation Frameworks:

·       Creating and maintaining reusable automation frameworks and libraries to support various automation needs, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

Troubleshooting and Debugging:

·       Identifying and resolving issues within automation scripts and frameworks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Collaborating with Stakeholders:

·       Working closely with end-users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for automation solutions.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

·       Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of automation solutions through rigorous testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

Documentation and Training:

·       Creating clear and concise documentation for automated processes and providing training to end-users on how to use and maintain the automated systems.

Staying Up to Date with Technologies:

·       Continuously researching and evaluating new technologies and tools for automation, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), low-code platforms, and scripting languages.

Monitoring and Reporting:

·       Monitoring the performance of automated systems, identifying areas for improvement, and generating reports on the effectiveness of automation initiatives.

Security and Compliance:

Ensuring that all automation solutions adhere to security policies and compliance requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • More than 5 years’ experience in IT and end user workplace management (SCCM, GPO, Intune, etc).

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with relevant automation tools and technologies, such as RPA, low-code platforms, or scripting languages.

  • Experience with testing and quality assurance methodologies.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and services

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript, as well as experience with automation tools and platforms.

  • Knowledge of building and maintaining automation frameworks, including experience with RPA tools, low-code platforms, and other relevant technologies.

  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience in designing and executing test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation for automated processes and systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Ability to manage automation projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle
