About the Role

Responsible to ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Integrated Reporting Finance or other parties within AIA Group timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations.
Provide timely support of the Group’s financial reporting functions (such as day to day accounting function, financial statements preparation, provide support to local business units on financial reporting related tasks).

  • Lead the team to perform review and consolidate submissions from local business units for various external and internal reporting requirements including IFRS, EV, HKRBC, LCSM, HKFRS, Bermuda and management reporting.

  • Ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Group Office timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations.

  • Review the analytical review prepared by Specialist / Lead Specialist / Peer on financial reporting deliverables submitted by local business units.

  • Ensure information received from the local business units complies with Group standards for both financial and management reporting.

  • Prepare analytical review and other financial reporting deliverables for IFRS, EV, HKRBC, LCSM, HKFRS, Bermuda and management reporting.

  • Support Group Office and local business units on relevant Group financial reporting and analysis matters by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries to enable business decisions.

  • Support various Group financial reporting related initiatives and coordinate with various departments in Group Office and local business units in rolling out the initiatives.

  • Develop and recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders in relation to all Group reporting deliverables and analysis, financial statements and related areas.

  • Assist in projects for any development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls and functionally changes to existing systems in relation to all Group reporting templates and financial statements to improve current processes, controls and overall effectiveness of the team.

  • Responsible to update Business Process Manuals, Control Checklist and Training Materials as and when new enhancement identified, implemented and communicated, and at least on an annual basis.

  • Provide coaching, guidance and support for Specialist/ Lead Specialist in performing their tasks.

  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet financial reporting and/or other requirements.

  • Support the Senior Manager in resource planning, including budgeting and monitoring, recruitment and training, employee engagement and development, performance reviews and appraisals, and succession planning.

Job Requirement:

  • Degree holder in Accountancy with professional qualification in ACCA or equivalent

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm

  • 4 + years of supervisory or management experience in the above position

  • Experience with insurance and financial services industries preferred
