About the Role

This position is a Business Partner in supporting and providing guidance to other departments in strategy formulation, implementation, and tracking; whilst keeping abreast with industry developments and channeling this critical information to senior management to drive the business.

This position also supports the Company’s performance management especially in delivering timely and accurate insights of business performance.

Responsibilities:

Organizational Strategic Planning

  • Work as Business Partner to actively participate and provide challenge in the department’s strategy formulation, implementation and tracking of long-term strategies and short-term initiatives.
  • Facilitate the timely preparation of the annual business plan and budget process across the business units in the organization, aligning to overall organization’s strategies.

Performance Management

  • Engage respective partners, influence and assist the development of operational strategy implementation and appropriate dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate organizational business reviews to evaluate performance, monitor progress as well as gathering learnings/ insights. This includes assisting in preparing information for management report, daily sales report, etc.
  • Influence and engage in business development activities to achieve performance objectives and targets.
  • Provide ad-hoc project support for corporate-level management reporting.

Business Case

  • Review business’ submitted Business Case and constant follow-up on the projects to find out on the progress.
  • Ensure preparation of Post Implementation Report after completion of the project or initiatives.
  • Conduct tracking of the responsible department’s strategy performance and implementation, e.g. verification of benefit delivery after go-live.
  • Provide up-to-date business insights for decision making.
  • Build quality of relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance / Business / Actuarial Science.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience. Experience in Actuarial and Consulting are an added advantage.
  • Highly numerate, diligent, resourceful and independent, ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with senior management team, internal & external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities that can lead, influence and motivate to create a high performing team.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to navigate and maintain strong working relationships with other stakeholders.
