About the Role
Oversee and responsible for overall tax function by ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and optimize tax efficiency by liaising closely with tax outsourced partners and external tax consultants.Managing and overseeing all tax-related matters, including but not limited to transfer pricing policies, Global Minimum Tax (GMT), Sales & Service Tax (SST) and other direct or indirect taxes, in accordance with applicable guideline and regulations.
Oversee local tax reporting to ensure compliance with requirements. The tax reporting includes review of current tax and deferred tax computation for all reporting basis, tax estimates and tax return submission.
Oversee tax reporting to Group Office to ensure compliance with Group Office’s reporting requirements which includes tax monthly closing and quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliation on tax balance, Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR) for tax process.
Lead the collaborate and discussion with Finance team and other departments to ensure tax strategies and policies are implemented in compliance with laws and regulations.
Keeping update in new or changes in tax laws, regulations and rulings to ensure the group remains compliant and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the group.
