Marketing Intern (Support for Portfolio Companies)

About Us

Hey there! We’re Aify Ventures, an investment group with a bunch of interesting companies in our portfolio—mainly based in Penang. We help awesome businesses grow, and now we’re looking for a marketing intern (must be Penang-based!) who’s ready for some hands-on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting our portfolio companies: You’ll jump in with different teams to help out, mostly with marketing research and social media operations. Expect projects like researching trends, competitor snooping, and managing company socials.
• Creating engaging content: Whether it’s social posts, articles, or campaign ideas, you’ll make things pop (in both Chinese and English!).
• Pitching in flexibly: This isn’t a boring, routine internship. You’ll be helping with whatever marketing tasks come up from different companies with diverse exposure—so if you’re adaptable and don’t mind wearing different hats, you’ll fit right in.
• Spotting opportunities: Bring your fresh insights from market analysis and help our companies grow their digital presence.

Bonus Points If...

• You’ve done an internship or helped out with marketing projects before.
• You’ve tried Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools.
• You’re into startups or want to see how an investment firm operates.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Location: Based in Penang—you’ll need to be local for this role.
• Languages: Good proficiency in both Chinese and English (writing and speaking).
• You’re studying Marketing, Communications, Business, or something similar.
• You know your way around social media (Capcut, Instagram, Canva, XHS) and basic office tools (Word, PowerPoint Excel, etc.).
• You’re organized, reliable, and able to juggle tasks for different companies.
• You can work independently and as part of a team, and you love sharing ideas.
• Flexible and happy to take on new challenges as they come.
• Training will be provided if you don’t know and you’re willing to learn.
