Job Description

Air Liquide began operations in Malaysia in 1927 and is one of the pioneers of the gas industry in Malaysia. This role is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap, defining pricing policies, assessing product profitability and planning and deployment of new products, developing and executing a sustainable and long term Product Strategy & Roadmap for both Bulk-On Site for maximise product profitability.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap, pricing policies, and branding strategies to ensure alignment with overall business plans and strong market positioning.

  • Drive competitiveness by analyzing P&Ls, CAPEX benchmarks, and supply-versus-demand dynamics (including potential sources) to identify financial and operational improvement opportunities.

  • Drive commercial decision-making through rigorous profitability analysis and standardized forecasting, while leading new product innovations from concept to execution and overseeing key enablers such as investment planning and distributor network optimization.

  • Define product strategies and perform capacity planning to ensure alignment with market needs, while managing regulatory compliance (QA, HACCP, GMP), maintaining the product catalogue, and overseeing investment processes (CPR/H-RIC).

  • Secure long-term supply resilience by identifying and negotiating with new external LCO2/H2 sources (including green technologies) and integrating emerging market requirements to drive sustainable portfolio expansion.

  • Optimize country-specific product portfolios by establishing robust pricing policies, standardizing referentials, and ensuring compliance; lead the deployment of new offers and business cases in coordination with operations to drive commercial performance.

  • Secure long-term supply resilience for LCO2 and H2 by validating sourcing needs, analyzing the sustainability of raw gas economics, and maintaining competitive intelligence on current and future sources.

  • Establish robust frameworks for product profitability, pricing analysis (including cost pass-through), and diligent contract governance, while actively driving the energy transition strategy and ensuring compliance with Group CO2 reporting standards.

  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor landscapes while monitoring product cost structures and profitability to identify growth opportunities and optimize margins.

  • Strategic Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and motivate the BOS product management teams to deliver domain objectives; this includes managing resource allocation and training needs, collaborating with country management, and driving performance through individual goals aligned with broader strategic plans.

  • Drive the communication plan and project management for product programs, delivering high-quality promotional copy, sales presentations, and product demos to support local deployment.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline. 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within the similar industry preferably. 

  • Experience defining product marketing strategies.

  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by influence.

  • Background in Sales and Marketing preferred.

  • Innovative, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Deep understanding of the relevant industry and marketplace.

  • Ability to analyze data and forecast market trends.

  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

  • Proven project management and organizational skills.
