Job Description

ALBS is an Air Liquide entity in Kuala Lumpur, regrouping for the APAC scope its Business Service Centers (Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai) as well as the two Global Functions (IT, Digital and Procurement). Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to business leaders of geographically dispersed transversal teams across the East Asia Pacific Cluster to develop and execute a people strategy that supports business growth and transformation. Drive talent management excellence across the Cluster. Implement initiatives focused on enhancing the employee experience and improving leadership effectiveness.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Strategic HR Partnership & Organisational Development

  • Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, building strong, trusted relationships and providing expert advice on people strategy, talent development, and organisational effectiveness.

  • Lead strategic workforce planning, conduct talent reviews, and manage organisational design projects across multiple geographies to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Drive succession planning, identify high-potential talent and key roles, and implement targeted strategies for performance management and employee growth.

Leadership Coaching & Employee Relations

  • Enhance leadership maturity and team dynamics by coaching managers and employees and implementing tailored development programmes with ongoing feedback mechanisms.

  • Mediate conflicts and advise on complex matters such as organisational adjustments and change management to maintain harmonious workplace relations.

  • Foster cultural alignment and employee engagement throughout the region by collaborating with teams to diagnose challenges and co-create effective solutions.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Act as the primary daily point of contact for employees, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and individual concerns in line with both group-wide and local regulations.

  • Ensure rigorous compliance with all relevant HR policies across domains and geographies and support risk mitigation related to change management.

  • Actively contribute to the deployment of Group HR initiatives, including performance management cycles, compensation reviews, training programmes, and organisational changes.

  • Ensure the smooth, efficient resolution of local HR processes and deployment of global HR initiatives by collaborating effectively with the Asia Pacific HR Centers of Excellence and HR Services.

  • Collaborate closely with Country/Entity HR Business Partnering teams on matters concerning local HR policies, employment regulations, and contracts.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.

  • A minimum of 8 years of extensive HR experience is required, preferably within global or matrixed organizations, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.

  • Proven capability in delivering strategic HR advisory services, with a strong focus on talent management and providing operational HR support to business units.

  • Experience managing significant HR projects, including change management initiatives or organizational redesigns, across various geographical locations.

  • Strong understanding of HR systems, such as Workday, coupled with proficiency in data analytics to drive informed, metric-based decision-making.

  • Highly developed business acumen to quickly grasp organizational needs and leverage people strategies and data to influence and achieve critical business outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust and establishing effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders across different cultures, levels, and functions.

  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity with resilience, maintaining a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

  • A strong drive to champion innovation in HR practices through collaboration with teams on the evolution of HR tools, processes, and policies.

  • Prior experience in the Gas or Energy industry is a significant advantage, particularly for demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
