Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with AL standards, local regulations, and customer requirements. The role involves providing technical support during project feasibility studies, preparing proposals, and managing the complete project lifecycle from design through to handover, while maintaining a strong focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance, cost control, and timely delivery.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

1. Execute projects including meeting HSE targets, projects milestones, schedule and cost, liaising with customers and authorities.

  • Assist in enforcing HSE initiatives and compliance program during project execution
  • Work closely with Contractors and Consultants during site execution to meet specification of the constructions
  • Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with local rules and legislation

2. Prepare project proposal

  • Takes part in evaluating projects specifications  or understands installation and customer's requirements to determine the most effective and reliable system from Air Liquide standard system design.
  • Makes a critical analysis of needs and specifies stakes. Performs risk assessment and estimates costs.  
  • Makes a technical assessment of suppliers and sub-contractors in coordination with entity source.
  • Establishes investment budgets and planning. Studies and prepares the tenders answer
  • To determine technical solution, should visit customers with the support of the sales force.
  • Prepares and performs customer installation or removal 
  • Participates to the offers review

3. Manages project execution from design, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning and final handover according to AL Standards and local regulations

  • Establishes and prepares the documentation for the projects such as method statement, installation schedule, supply system and layout drawings.
  • Awards the contracts to the selected sub-contractors with entity sourcer. 
  • Determines standard and non-standard material to be used according to technical standards. Prepares the documentation.
  • Coordinates parts and services orders through the issue of Purchase Requests. 
  • Controls and manages workforce according to the planning and expenses according to the budget
  • Validates with the customer the acceptance tests (pressure and gas purity test) of the projects

Are you a MATCH?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  •  Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
