Job Description

As a QA Engineer, you will be based at the our Bukit Minyak Filling Site. You will set up and operate analytical equipment (e.g., Gas Chromatograph) to certify product quality. You will ensure strict compliance with ISO9001 and customer specifications. Responsibilities include managing QA documentation, maintaining safety/technical standards, and traveling to Penang/Kulim customer sites to support gas product quality checks and investigations.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Execute on-site product and process quality control to ensure incoming and outgoing products strictly adhere to company standards and specifications.

  • Assist in setting up and managing Product Testing Procedures and quality standards for production, ensuring ISO 9001 and other relevant standards are met.

  • Maintain, internally service, and calibrate all quality control devices (e.g., gas analyzers, testing kits) to guarantee accuracy and reliability.

  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance services for all QA-related equipment, coordinating external service providers when required.

  • Conduct external sample product testing and analysis as required by customer specifications.

  • Ensure daily operations strictly adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS), Halal system (where applicable), and relevant statutory/regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze non-conformances, propose and execute effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with stakeholders.

  • Serve as the Document Controller Officer, responsible for managing the control of all documented information as per ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

  • Evaluate analytical results, provide final product quality assurance, and grant product release for finished goods that comply with specifications.

  • Perform the authority to stop product release and collaborate with the production team to re-evaluate and resolve non-conformities found in the product or process.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or a related technical field.

  • At least having 1-5 years of professional laboratory experience focused on operating, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Gas Analytical Equipment, specifically Gas Chromatography (TCD, FID, DID).

  • Strong analytical skills for processing quantitative and qualitative data, complemented by effective problem-solving abilities to evaluate options and exercise sound judgment.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and understanding of quality assurance principles and acceptance criteria.

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills essential for gaining consensus, driving commitment, and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Must be willing to travel outstation across Malaysia occasionally for internal training; within Penang - Kulim for customer on-site visit and investigation; ability to manage personal efficiency and competing priorities.
