PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Check on daily plant’s operating condition and act on any process abnormalities.

• Ensure that the various products’ purities are met according to specification and act of any abnormalities.

• Lead start up, shut down and process troubleshooting of ASU and PHG plants.

• Responsible for supervision and training of plant operators to improve competencies.

• Prepare monthly shift duty roster to ensure smooth 24/7 operations.

• Carry out and assist in planning for daily activities and PM programs with assistance from maintenance as required and advise any problem encountered.

• Assist in monthly pipeline month-end close data and other plant utility consumption.

• Act as permit issuer for day-to-day maintenance and during plant turnaround.

• Adhere to ISO9001 procedures and other company EHS and process safety guidelines and requirements.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety measures are carried out to keep plants in good condition.

• Ensure that water treatment chemicals stocks are adequate and properly stored and recorded.

• Assist engineer in generating monthly production report.

• Enforce safety requirements at site for staff and external contractors.

• Support plant engineer and plant manager of any operation related work deemed appropriate

• Support internal and external audits and carry out corrective action.

• Manage existing spare part inventory and highlight any spares required for plant use.

• Support plant engineer and plant managers in ensuring all AP assets and operations under care are always complying to national and local legislative requirement;

• Support plant engineer and plant managers in site general activities, inclusive but not limited to manage the site security activities and other compliances requirement (i.e., renewal of business licensing, fire certificates with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Engineering, with 2 –3 years of plant manufacturing experiences.

• Ability to work in a hands-on environment in an operating plant.

• Ability to work in groups, interacting with plant operations, engineering and maintenance.
