Reimagine What’s Possible

• Reporting to the Plant Manager or Production Lead.

• Work 12 hour rotating shifts 24/7/365 environment

• Has competence in local regulatory requirements including as an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Coordinator, Authorized Entrant and Standby Person for Confined Space (AESP), Authorized Gas Tester and Entry Supervisor for Confined Space (AGTES), First Aider and Forklift Operator.

• Comply with Air Products safety practices and policies including site safety, environmental and health regulations, and participate in the Basic Safety Process as a key member and share responsibility for the site’s overall safety performance.

• Compliance with Air Products’ quality assurance procedures.

• Lead the daily continuous operation of hydrogen plants and nitrogen generators, making decisions in real time to ensure that the production requirements and objective defined by the on-site supply contract and company including on-stream objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner.

• Execute daily hydrogen tube trailer filling and documentation based on demand, work process and instructions. 

• Provide direct interface with maintenance team in plant equipment including mechanical, machinery, electrical, control and instrumentation for field inspection and troubleshooting when needed.

• Get certified and maintain responsibility as a Safety Work Permit Issuer and LOTO Authorized Personal.

• Perform daily plantwide water sampling per best practice and perform accurate chemical testing, recording and logging of parameter readings. The process technician must present water treatment results to the Plant Manager or Operation Lead for review and alert them if any parameters are not within specifications for necessary actions.

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment through proper housekeeping practices. This includes ensuring the plant, equipment, and work areas are free of hazards, debris, and obstructions, as well as maintaining organized storage and proper waste disposal. 

• Liaising with on-site customer’s control room for routine plant operations including clear and effective daily communication with customer on matters related to plant operations and production reporting.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in mechanical /chemical or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)  Technical and Vocational (TVET) with minimum 2 years working experience in operations, maintenance or monitoring of industrial process plants.

• Experience as an operator in hydrogen plant with start-up and steam boiler operator qualification will be an added advantage

• Experience with knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Standards with a demonstrated commitment to safety

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Computer literate  with basic MS Windows and Office skills
