POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

This position is responsible for the safe, efficient hands-on day-to-day operation and monitoring of ASU units including process plant control, production rate/product mix adjustments, safe start-up/shutdown of plant, cryogenic tanker loading and product quality assurance. Primary duties also includes process plant operation and plant maintenance.

Nature and scope

The job holder will be working in shifts pattern round the clock, inclusive of general Malaysia /State public holidays where applicable to operate the ASU and related facilities in the Pengerang site.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• The job holder oversees smooth day-to-day operation, which includes startup, shutdown, plant capacity adjustment and optimize the plant operation to meet the business requirement. He/she requires to assist plant engineer and plant manager on the plant troubleshooting.

• The job holder is to record plant equipment, control room reading and to report and escalate if there is any abnormality and take appropriate corrective action as required. He / She is to generate daily production reports and monthly production reports for traceability.

• The job holder is required to be safety minded, ensure safety requirements are adhered to by everybody, perform the tasks as per the (Basic Safety Process) BSP definition and ensure the ASU plant operates and maintains in a safely manner.

• The job holder is required to be qualified as safe work permit issuer. He/she requires to issue permits when there is a requirement.

• The job holder is required to fill in the cryogenic tankers or any mobile storage units on day-to-day basis. The person requires to perform documentation work and necessary transaction on the cryogenic tankers where applicable.

• The job holder is required to be qualified as safe work permit issuer. He/she requires to issue permit when there is a requirement. To support the HIRARC review during the SWP issuance if applicable.

• The job holder is required to support PM or any other maintenance job as required; inclusive but not limited to parts inventory management and to participate in plant turnaround maintenance activities.

• The job holder is responsible for overall housekeeping in the plant. He/she needs to work with internal staff or contractors to ensure plant housekeeping is always maintained at satisfactory condition.

• The job holder is responsible for full compliance to all SWIM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 and FSMS procedures if applicable.

• The job holder is required to support audits processes to assess the compliances of AP On site operations activities against to AP’s standard or relevant applicable standards and to close the findings (i.e., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, Halal recertification audits, customer audits).

• The job holder is also to support maintaining the health of quality control devices; i.e. to ensure all span and zero gases cylinders at the manifold station are available and within expiry date

• He/she is required to carry out other duties/assignments that may be assigned by he/her superior deemed appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Technical Diploma in mechanical/chemical or

• SPM (Vocational/Technical School) with Minimum 2 years working experience in plant process

• Computer literate with basic MS Windows and Office knowledge
