POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

To able to execute & control the quality assurance of pressure vessel manufacture system in facility and pressure piping, with expected quality following the Air Product’s specification & relative code & standard’s requirement.

Nature and Scope

The job holder is (Quality Assurance) QA Engineer in Quality department and reports directly to the Quality Manager. His/Her responsible is to keep the quality assurance of pressure vessels & pressure piping manufacturing running properly.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Quality Assurance control, to all pressure vessels manufacturing system and pressure piping, reaches the relative law, regulation and AP standard’s requirement.

2. To supervise the ISO9001 internal audit system, make improvement of quality system.

3. To be responsible for product quality plan to full reach the drawing, code & AP specification.

4. To be responsible of handle with Non-conformance system (VN) and the delegation to approve the deviation.

5. To be responsible of Quality Plan/Inspection Test Plan preparation.

6. To be responsible of pressure test procedure preparation.

7. To coordinate the inspection activity from authority or client’s inspector.

8. To provide kinds of training to inspectors to develop their skills & understanding of AP specification.

9. To develop the quality procedure or work process.

10. To organize the review to the preliminary design and feedback to design.

11. To review and prepare the product dossier for ASME U form & Malaysia’s PV certificate.

12. To keep maintenance of QM set & review in SAP.

13. To be the duty delegation when Quality Manager absent.

14. Any other work assigned to him/her.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification

Education:                 Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Metallurgy

Computer skill:          Skilled in office Software

Other skill:               

1)  Good leadership and communication skill

2) Familiarize with Pressure Vessels Design, Piping, Manufacturing, Inspection & Testing

3) Familiarize with International Codes & Standard related to Pressure Vessels and Piping

4) Auditor skills in QMS

Work Experience

1. Background of pressure vessel, piping & machinery manufacture, or material/welding.

2. Minimum 5 years' QA work experience in manufacturing facility for pressure vessel and piping in O&G industry, with suitable inspection & testing skills.

3. This job is expected to have good knowledge of Malaysia/ASME codes & standards relative with piping, pressure vessel design or manufacture.

4. This job is expected to have some knowledge of NDE & welding.

5. This job requires sensitive view on quality issue & ability of problem solving.

6. This job requires high accountability on performance.
