Job Description
Job Purpose:
To ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank transactions across multiple accounts and systems. The Finance Executive will support daily and month-end reconciliation processes, investigate discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of bank-related financial records in compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all bank transactions are accurately recorded and matched against the general ledger.
Monitor and investigate discrepancies, unposted items, and reconciling differences between bank statements and accounting records.
Download, validate, and maintain bank settlement files from host systems and ensure completeness of data uploads to internal platforms (e.g., Finexus or equivalent).
Post journal entries and receipts in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), particularly for bank charges, refunds, adjustments, and incoming receipts.
Ensure all receipts are accurately applied to customer accounts in a timely manner and assist in maintaining up-to-date customer aging reports.
Prepare and update monthly bank reconciliation schedules and support documentation for reporting and audit purposes.
Work closely with internal teams such as Collections, Treasury, and business users to resolve open items or reconciliation issues.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations related to bank transactions.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline reconciliation workflows and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with bank reconciliation exposure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple accounts.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
