Job Description
Job Summary:
The MOC Intern will assist the Maintenance Operation Control (MOC) team in monitoring aircraft airworthiness, supporting maintenance coordination, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the airline’s fleet. This role offers hands-on experience in real-time operations, technical coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration essential in airline maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the supervision and guidance of MOC Engineers, the intern will:
Support daily monitoring of aircraft technical status, defects, and open items including JML/DDML and AMD.
Assist in analyzing Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) fault messages and support initial fault assessment.
Aid in tracking and reporting of engineering-related delays and contribute to Monthly On-Time Performance (OTP) analysis.
Participate in the preparation of materials and minutes for weekly/monthly OTP and technical meetings.
Help monitor the validity of scheduled checks (e.g. 36 Hours, Weekly, Stayover, and 10-Day Checks) and assist in scheduling coordination.
Observe and learn the coordination process with Part 145 AMO for maintenance task planning and follow-ups.
Assist in tracking spares and rectification plans related to deferred defects.
Help maintain records related to safety reports assigned to MOC and support Safety Action Group (SAG) activities.
Support internal documentation, data entry, and technical reporting for the MOC team.
Learning Outcomes:

Understand the fundamentals of airline maintenance control and operational coordination.
Gain exposure to real-time fault analysis and technical decision-making in a live airline environment.
Develop knowledge of airworthiness requirements, deferred defects, and engineering documentation.
Enhance communication skills through interaction with Flight Operations, OCC, Engineering, and Maintenance providers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Basic understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance planning concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
