Job Description
a) Inventory Planning & Control
Develop and maintain effective inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels across all products.
Utilize inventory management systems such as WMS, Oracle, and EPOS to ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of inventory movements.
Liaise with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and align inventory levels accordingly.
Implement strategies to optimize stock levels based on lead times, demand variability, and turnover rates.
b) Inventory Accuracy & Auditing
Reconcile discrepancies between physical stock counts and system records; investigate and resolve root causes of variances.
Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical stock audits to maintain inventory integrity.
Monitor and improve system data accuracy with a strong focus on analytical skills to identify and resolve systemic issues.
c) System and Data Management
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure inventory management systems are functioning optimally, with timely updates and maintenance.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot system-related inventory issues, using analytical capabilities to perform root cause analysis and support system enhancements.
d) Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies regarding inventory.
Prepare and present regular reports on inventory health, stock aging, availability, and turnover to senior management.
e) Continuous Improvement
Work with cross-functional teams, including Group and Operations, to align inventory strategies with business goals.
Lead or support initiatives aimed at improving storage efficiency, order fulfillment accuracy, and minimizing losses from damage, theft, or obsolescence.
Identify obsolete or excess inventory and implement strategies to mitigate associated costs and recover value.
Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certification: Certification in inventory management (e.g., Certified in Production and Inventory Management - CPIM) is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or related roles.
Languages: Proficient in both oral and written Bahasa Malaysia & English.
Skills:
Well-organized, meticulous, trustworthy, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
Proficient knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Oracle ERP, and EPOS platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose system-related issues and drive effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, and Logistics.
