Job Description
Manager, Supply Chain Management
Reports to Continuing Airworthiness Manager
Responsibilities
a. Institutes and maintains an effective and efficient system for the management of spares and materials and component repairs efficiently and economically and in accordance to the requirements of the company, manufacturer and CAAM.
Qualifications
a. Hold a valid CAAM Aircraft Maintenance License (AML), OR
b. Degree in any discipline from recognised institutions; and
c. Minimum of five (5) years aviation experience.
Duties
a. Establish and maintain an effective and economical administrative system within the Materials Department;
b. Monitor the progress of all courses attended by staff(s) within the department to ensure that a high level of quality and performance standard is maintained at all times;
c. Manage the budget requirement of Materials Department;
d. To ensure that Materials personnel are in possession of correct skills, are given appropriate training, are up to date on the latest methods, procedures and requirements, are in sufficient strength to accomplish their work effectively;
e. Produces budgetary forecast for materials spares;
f. Produces short, mid and long-term forecast for spares and materials to ensure availability in a timely manner;
g. Procure and manage of aircraft spares and commercial materials to ensure availability to support maintenance operation;
h. Supervises and directs materials movements within the operating networks, reviews unserviceable parts and provides recommendations for BER parts for scrapping;
i. To facilitate on materials request and spares movement between CAMO and Part 145 Maintenance Organisations;
j. Reviews and authorizes orders, invoices and other service charges and highlights any discrepancies;
k. Liaise with QA for approval of new suppliers and contractors for purchasing and repair;
l. Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring and audit program;
m. Any other tasks directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and not contradict with CAAM regulations; and
n. In the absence of Contracts & Materials Manager, his responsibility will be assumed by Materials Engineer.
