YOUR ROLE AS A: Operational Performance Analyst & Insights, NMC
As the Operational Analyst & Insights, you will be the data owner for OTP (On-Time Performance) and other key operational metrics. Your role involves providing comprehensive reporting, developing data visualizations, and conducting in-depth analyses to drive operational improvements and inform decision-making at all levels, including the C-Suite.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Act as the OTP data owner, ensuring daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, YoY, and ad hoc reports are generated accurately.
Build visibility on operational performance through accurate and engaging data visualizations, analysis, and dashboards.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary, ensuring data streams, validated differences, and optimal use strategies are well-documented.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses on sporadic operational events and provide recommendations on mitigation methods (e.g., runway closures, capacity constraints).
Drive quantitative and qualitative data analysis to review existing operations and future scenarios.
Constantly introduce and investigate new data streams that can drive and provide visibility on operational performance.
Maintain and act as a subject matter expert on performance-related data streams.
Plan, document, and liaise with required stakeholders for software, interfaces, and data exchange requirements, with automation and exception threshold alerting as key themes.
Mentor and train Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the use of reports, reporting tools, or advanced techniques.
Act as a subject matter expert on operational performance and provide insights and analysis up to a C-Suite level.
WHO YOU ARE:
At least 2 years of experience as a business analyst or operational researcher.
A University Graduate, with a preferred background in Aviation, Business, Operations Research, or Transport Management.
Familiar with data visualization and reporting tools (knowledge of Tableau is an advantage).
Proficient in Microsoft and Google software, with familiarity with AIMS and databases.
Possess practical experience in joining multiple large database sources and data transformation.
Ideally, Green Belt / Lean process trained.
Proficient in oral and written English.
Previous experience in the aviation industry is an advantage.
