Job Description

The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the AirAsia Move group of entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting and compliance. The Senior Finance Executive will also drive continuous improvement in financial processes, support month-end closing activities, and contribute to the implementation of best practices across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting.

  • Performing a full spectrum of GL function (includes inventory, fixed assets) and to maintain a full set of accounts.

  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for local and group reporting, ensuring they meet both local and group reporting requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules.

  • Assist in managing compliance with financial regulations and support internal and external audit processes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting operation efficiency and implement best practices to streamline processes.

  • Review work and provide support to team members, offering guidance and mentorship to enhance their development.

  • Liaise and work closely with key business stakeholders across various regions and functions to address accounting issues and queries.

  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ICAEW, CPA, ACCA) are preferred.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience.

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.

  • Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
